
Laura Nolan graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney, in 2021. As an emerging multidisciplinary artist, her practice spans sculptural installations, with a strong focus on glass processes as a means of exploring and connecting with Presence.
In 2022, Nolan’s work was awarded Highly Commended and acquired by the Museum of Art and Culture (MAC yapang) for its public collection. She also received a Highly Commended and the People’s Choice Award in the 2021 Wollongong Acquisitive Sculpture Award. Her work has been recognised as a finalist in several prestigious competitions, including the 2021 Ausglass Vicki Torr Prize, the National Emerging Glass Artist Prize in 2020 and 2018, the 2019 Blacktown City Art Prize, the 2018 Clyde & Co Art Awards (with acquisition), the 2018 Greenway Art Prize, and the 2016 Hidden Sculpture Prize.
Nolan has presented solo exhibitions including Thresholds (2020) and Orchestrated Agency (2018), with works now held in private collections. In addition, her work was exhibited and auctioned for charity in Shadows Within Us (2018) at the NSW Parliament House.
